Eva Farris Palmer Tyson

Eva Farris Palmer Tyson, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. Services will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. David Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Lovingly known as "Mammy" to most, she was born in Beattyville, Kentucky on October 4, 1944, to the late Cecil and Beulah Coomer Palmer. Ms. Tyson took pride in her work as a loving childcare giver and homemaker. She enjoyed fishing and time spent outside. Ms. Tyson will be remembered by her family as a beloved mother, grandmother, and caregiver.
She is survived by her children, Connie Tyson, Linda Taylor, and Allen Tyson, and by 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Tony Tyson; siblings, William Palmer, Margaret Weber, and Frances Moore, and by her special friends, Dan Taylor and Warner Rose.
Serving as pallbearers will be Eddie James, Justin Smith, Bill Moore, John Estes, Josh Lyons, and Andre Rose.
Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home & Crematory.
